A leadership mindset understands that they are the FIRST ones on the front line. They must be the trailblazer. They must be the one that sets the standard by achieving the standard. People cannot follow you if you have not paved a path for them to walk on. A person that calls themselves a leader without creating the footprints FIRST is a fraud. Every leader that has graced this earth created a path that never existed before. Jesus created a path that never existed, that path was called Salvation. EVERY LEADER SHOULD HAVE THE MINDSET TO INSPIRE - If a leader cannot inspire their people they do not need to be a leader. Inspiration is the seed for movement. You will not do anything until you become inspired. A leadership mindset understands that in order to influence their followers they must learn to inspire them. The most influential leaders that have graced our society have learned how to become masters at inspiring the misguided mind. A real leader studies their follower, they pay attention to what interest them so they can know how to reach them. Jesus was very attentive to the needs and wants of his disciples. Jesus inspired Peter by talking to him about his most passionate interest, which was fishing. When a leader does not know how to inspire they will lack having influence with many people. EVERY LEADER SHOULD HAVE THE MINDSET TO CORRECT - Leaders have the responsibility to correct their followers when they are going in the wrong direction. God has given parents the leeway to correct their children. Your boss has the right to correct your behavior is the work environment. The police has the right to correct your behavior in the street. A leader must develop the mindset and the courage to correct what they see wrong. This is a major burden for real leaders because the action of correction can lead to unfavorable results. When a leader refuses to correct what they see wrong, they disqualify themselves from being in leadership because if you don't correct what is wrong you are indirectly promoting what is wrong. There is a right way and a wrong way to correct people. Building is not just a tangible experience but it is also a intangible experience because you can build a person's character, esteem, knowledge base, integrity and etc. A leader is not defined by how many people follow them but they are defined by what they have developed. Steve Jobs was known as a technological leader, not because many people followed him but because he was the engine that built Apple. Michael Jordan is not considered to be a leader because many people follow him, he's defined as a leader because he built the Chicago Bulls team as a championship organization. When a leader cannot find a way to improve their environment, it signifies that they have lost the passion and motivation to progress. A leader cannot be without a vision because without a vision the people will perish. Every leader must have the mindset to create change in their environment consistently. Making a change doesn't mean that there is something wrong it can also mean that you are making room for something new and better. You cannot receive what is new until you replace what is old. Every real leader understands this principle. When you are in the circle of following a real leader they will be addicted to changing what is around them because they understand that change invites progression. It is a leader's responsibility to help their followers avoid decrease. The mindset of increase comes from the attitude of excellence. The attitude of excellence is the pursuit of perfection (maturity). A leader will lose their influence when they do not seek to perfect what they currently have because remaining complacent with where you are will give people the idea to stop following you because the purpose of following behind someone is to be in the position of movement. When a leader stops moving forward they have subconsciously given up their position of leadership. When a leader doesn't have a mindset to increase they enable their followers to decrease. Every real leader has adopted the behavior of renewing their followers mindset with new ideas, new methods, new products, new strategies, new concepts and new wisdom. When a person in leadership never attempts to RENEW what doesn't work any more they have become ineffective in their leadership role. Jesus was always upgrading the life and thought patten of His disciples. He never allowed them to remain in the same space. He was always challenging and stimulating their life because He understood that a real leader must have the mindset to always upgrade those whom follow them. If you don't upgrade your people's mind they will be left behind in tomorrow's opportunities.
